Abstract
One of the most controversial subjects in the field of foreignlanguage research is grammar teaching which plays an important role in English learning classrooms. It is important to decide which method is crucial for teaching of grammar, which method do teachers prefer, explicit or implicit grammar instruction? The aim of this study is to compare explicit and implicit grammar teaching through Telegram.The participants of the study include 30 EFL learners were dividedinto two randomly as explicit and implicit groups.A pretest and posttest were measured to get a deeper insight about the effectiveness of implicit and explicitmethods of teaching grammar. The findings of study indicate that explicit teaching of grammar is more effective than implicit teaching although this difference is not significant according to statistical data.
